Fall Landscaping Update

September 23, 2025

Fall Landscaping Update Tree Trimming and Canopy Clearance Beginning the week of October 27 (weather permitting), Urban Dirt, the District’s landscape contractor, will begin tree trimming throughout the community on an as-needed basis. This work is intended to ensure sidewalks remain clear of low-hanging limbs and that trees are properly pruned to support healthy, continued growth. All trimmed branches will be chipped on-site, and debris will be removed. Fall Mulch Application Also beginning the week of November 3 (weather permitting), Urban Dirt will begin turning mulch in established streetscape and park tree rings. This process helps break up compacted mulch and clear any buildup from around tree bases. Where necessary, additional mulch will be applied to maintain proper coverage. Newly planted streetscape trees will receive a fresh layer of mulch. Channel Mowing and Shredding Shredding of channels, open areas around ponds, and designated wildflower zones is tentatively scheduled to begin in late October, pending weather conditions. This work is expected to be completed by mid-November, as conditions allow.
